Yes, you can choose the adoptive family for your baby in a private adoption. Selecting an Adoptive Family for your child is a very personal decision and at Starr Adoption Services we highly encourage you to make the selection for the adoptive family. This process allows for you to place the values and traditions you feel are important to be upheld in the family you select. Families are available both locally or in other states. You can select a family of a certain faith to care for your child, perhaps memories of cooking with your mum make you wish for a parent who is a chef, or helping a same-sex couple achieve their goals of being parents is at the top of your list.

This process places your hopes and dreams for your child & their childhood to be placed at the center of this process. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable in expressing the characteristics, values, goals, and etcetera that you would like your child to grow up with, allowing us to present families to you that are most aligned with that image.

Yes! While not all of our families are on our website you can view families by clicking VIEW SAS ADOPTIVE FAMILIES We are here to help. And you will still be able to select a family for your child. This is one of the many important adoption choices that you have in creating your plan.

Your Starr Options Counselor will set up traditional or video calls for you to connect with adoptive families you are interested in matching with.
