We are Michael and Tabatha and we are so happy you took a moment to review our profile.

I am Tabatha (Tabby). I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, but somewhere in me there was always a pull toward something wider. That curiosity led me to Costa Rica on a volunteer trip during college, where I met Michael. I was drawn to him almost immediately, the way he moved through the world: open to it, enthusiastic about it, always ready to say yes. That spirit matched my own. We've been saying yes together ever since, building a life in North Carolina rooted in adventure from hiking trails, new countries, and a home that always feels like a base camp for whatever comes next.

Adoption has always felt like it would be a natural part of my story. The family I grew up in wasn't defined only by blood, and that shaped how I understand love, something I understood as chosen, intentional, and given infallibly. I can't wait to share this world with our little one, to crouch down with them and name the bugs, to show them how to read a tree, to give them a sense of wonder about all the living, breathing intricacies around us and say: look how much there is.

I am Michael, originally from Long Island, but North Carolina raised me, and somewhere along the way I developed a love for the outdoors that never really let go. Whether I'm hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, or running, being outside is how I make sense of the world. But adventure isn't only wilderness for me; I thrive on exploring new places, music, culture, and anywhere I can find a good cup of coffee. That spirit has really defined mine and Tabby’s relationship. We are not afraid to put ourselves out into the world and stay open to what it has to offer, a mindset we continue to carry throughout our adoption journey. I can't wait to add another passenger to share in our adventures, and to show them everything this big, generous world has to offer.
