Can I Give My Baby Up For Adoption At the Hospital?

Yes, you can still make an adoption plan at the hospital. Many women want to think about their options for a longer time frame & do not want to talk with an adoption agency until after they deliver. There are also times when women do not know that they are pregnant until going to the hospital & being told that they are in labor. You may feel unprepared to make a decision on parenting or doing an adoption plan. In Arizona Consents to Adoption cannot be signed until the baby is at least 72hours old. This time frame allows for you to consider what options you may want to explore.

You may have a moment of shock, but ultimately feel like parenting is the right decision for you & have support to choose to parent. Other times you may feel that this is not the time to start your family. Either way Starr Adoption Services has Options Counselors available to you who are able to meet you at the hospital & support you through your decision to parent or make an adoption plan.

If you decide adoption is the right choice for you, you can select an adoptive family, the type of adoption you hope to have, and receive the support you need including counseling, living expenses, medical support, and more.
